Well, It’s that time of month again, don’t know how much stitching I’ll get done this weekend, but I’ll try to participate.

Yes, I did finish Part Two of Chatelaine’s Hawaiian Mandala this weekend (with a few of the longstitches finished this morning). Instead of showing you the entire piece, this is a closeup of the final (top) pineapple motif for Part Two. Part Two also has black stitching that continues all the way around Part Three, but instead of stitching 80+ stitches into forever, I will save these until I work on Part Three.

Sorry I didn’t stop by on Friday to say that I would be participating. I did though and here is my progress on Stoney Creek’s “Too Cute to Spook,” a SAL that I am doing with my friend Dawn.

Seems like we have missed the monthly reminder the last few months-and if I don’t get a reminder, I am not likely to remember! I am stitching on Mirabilia’s Shimmering Mermaid along with you-will post a picture at the end of the SAL.

Or did this weekend seem to come around quicker than usual? And did I miss the e-mail reminder or didn’t we get one? My life is rather topsy turvy at the moment so I really don’t know what’s what half the time!
Anyway, I think to start with I’ll be stitching on EMS Advent Calendar number 10. If I get that done I might work a little more on my lighthouses picture. Here’s where I’m at right now with it:

I love this picture so much, this is the second time I’ve stitched it. I’m working it on 16ct antique white aida in two strand.
Good luck to all who join this month, seems to be getting less and less of us these days!

Well, I’m finally getting back to my dragon. I have had several interruptions, the main one being company and it’s hard to keep this large of a project out and accessible. I’m way behind on my yearly goal so I hope to do a little catching up, but I kind of think that getting a whole page done this weekend would be just a little over-ambitious!
So my goal is just as much as possible.

Well, I didn’t get quite as much done this weekend as I wanted to, since my son decided it would be a good time to want to swap his computer desk with mine – not such a major task for most people, but for us it was a bit of a marathon. I hadn’t realised just how much stuff (mostly stash actually) I’d got on my desk! It took about 8 hours of Saturday/Sunday to complete so my valuable stitching time was seriously depleted.
Nevertheless, I did manage to finish both numbers 7 and 8 of the EMS Advent Calendar which I am very pleased about as now I am all caught up with that ready for next month’s two numbers.

All I managed to get done on the lighthouses project was half the whipping on the edge of the fabric so there’s nothing to show you on that one. Maybe next month there’ll be some progress on it then again I might have found another project to tackle by then! Did I ever mention I’m a serial starter!

…it’s caught us all out this month. I don’t know where the time goes!
This month I’ve raked out a project that I started several years ago. It’s the Roger W. Reinardy kit of lighthouses. My Mum bought me this kit about 6 years ago, I started it but only got one lighthouse done before putting it aside, inevitably to start something else! When I finally found the kit again, the fabric was yellow in places so I gave it a wash in the machine but unfortunately it didn’t get rid of the stain (which I have no idea at all what it was…) So now I’ve decided to stitch it on 16ct Aida and have to hope that I have enough thread left to complete it. If not, I’ll have to pick undone the part I’d already done before.
But prior to that, I have to finish EMS Advent Calendar number 8. I’m almost caught up and it should be finished today, since I started it in the wee small hours of this morning! Really must learn what sleep is…
Hope everyone who takes part this weekend makes good progress. Looking forward to seeing some pictures!

I’m glad to see all the progress everyone made this month! I have hardly had a chance to touch my stitching or the computer this month. Hopefully next month will be better.

I didn’t finish this, but I made good progress. I should be able to finish it by the end of the month. I’m especially happy about my progress since this has been a UFO for years.
