Quite a disappointing result…
Posted by Lady Periphaeria on October 22, 2007
… but progress nevertheless.
<My goals (even I forgot to post them) were:
- Stitch remaining few motifs on a model and finish it.
- Stitch rest of Loy’s page four.
Well… I managed to stitch the model, but decided to concentrate on finishing it in Sunday. That kind of failed as I was busy with other things whole Sunday – and I can’t finish it because I don’t have suitable ribbon… before tomorrow.
That also means that I didn’t made that many stitches on Loy… though I started a new complimentary design for Periphaeria Designs in Saturday, but as it’s not done yet no pictures of it either.
…so, Loy it is. Those few stitches I managed… Before and after.
Disappointing progress, but still closer to the ultimate finish.
Photo linking problems?
If you have problems to make a working linking image remember that you need to use the thumbnail’s DIRECT url to make it work. You can get it by going over the thumbnail, right clicking on top of it and choosing Copy image location (or similar, the command is that in Firefox) and use that url.

Almost…
Posted by mombasa67 on October 22, 2007
… got done what I had planned. Well, the biscornue is ready and on it’s way to Australia, the card is ready and on it’s way here in Finland and the Christmas ornament is still on paper…. I did get some hardanger done though
And since I’m still so out of adding pictures to my post I’ll have to ask you to take a trip to my blog where you can see my doings in pictures
Waiting for the next SAT!

Woohoo!
Posted by Stargazer on October 22, 2007
Fifteen years after first seeing this design and five years after first starting it, it’s finally finished!

I can’t tell you how happy I am to see this complete. I put in about 20 hours on it this weekend – finishing around lunchtime yesterday. So that left me time to do some more work on Colourful Cat by Durene Jones from Cross Stitch Gold issue 23. This has been my weekend project since about June. I’m stitching it on 28ct Silver Lurex Jobelan 1 over 1 and there are 23,400 stitches. This was the before pic:

I stitched until midnight last night and this is how much more I got done:

I’m really pleased with how this is coming along. There are a lot of blocks of single colour but it’s a really relaxing stitch. I will continue to work on this at weekends and may pick a different project for next month’s SAT. I’m really looking forward to it already!
Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement. I don’t know how long it would have taken me to finish Little Friends if I hadn’t had SAT to spur me on!

I’m really pleased with the amount of stitching I finished this weekend. Edit: I can’t post a picture here because this is a gift for my father, who often looks at my photo host. You can find pictures of this weekend’s progress on my blog at It will Be Funny Tomorrow

I’m so happy…
Posted by Stargazer on October 19, 2007
It’s half term so the washing can wait. I did my grocery shopping this morning. My son is old enough to feed himself at least some of the weekend. And that means that I’ve got a whole beautiful weekend of almost non-stop stitching ahead of me! Woohoo!
I’ll be working on Little Friends again. I haven’t posted a photo as I haven’t touched it since last SAT weekend but I’m really hoping to finish the design this weekend. I’m sure I will but in case I don’t, I’ll carry on until it’s done then post a pic.
If I do get it finished before Sunday night, I’ve got another fab project lined up.
I hope everyone has a good stitchy weekend and you all reach your goals. Thanks Lady P for setting this up and to everyone for all the encouragement and kind comments. This is just the best idea and it’s great to have something specific to focus on.

October goal
Posted by Svenja on October 19, 2007
I’m going to work on Tesori d’Italia again and I will continue where I stopped last month:
I don’t think I will have as much stitching time as I had last SAT, because I’m going to a craft show tomorrow (Woohoo!), but I should be able to finish part 19 and maybe even start with part 20.
Happy SAT stitching everyone!

Finally Decided
Posted by cruzstitch on October 19, 2007
I could not decide what I wanted to work on this weekend for a long time. This morning, I finally settled on working on my dad’s Christmas stocking. I don’t want to post a picture of the completed project here, but if you want to go to my blog (itwillbefunny.blogspot.com) you’ll find a picture of it there. This is my progress so far.
Let’s get stitching!

Mia’s goals
Posted by mombasa67 on October 19, 2007
Hi everyone,
since I’ve got the whole weekend free I’ve decided to take on a few small projects. First I want to finish off a biscornue I’ve got stitched – just need to sew it together, then I’ll be stitching a birthdaycard – a celtic or art deco themed, haven’t found a chart yet, but I’ll be looking for it today and I also hope to get a Christmas ornament stitched.
I still don’t get it how to add photo’s… here is the link to my blog where you can see part of the biscornue

My weekend goal
Posted by vkchev on October 19, 2007

I missed last months stitch a thon. This month I am going to be stitching on Mirabilia’s Forest Goddess. I won’t get her finished but I plan to make a big dent in her.
I am having trouble posting a pic but I will post pics as I go in my blog

Leslie’s October Goals

Yeah, it is stitch-a-thon time again. My goal for this month is to finish the snowflake backstitching on Winter Dragon for Outi’s RR. I really wish i had finished this last month, but hopefully it will get done this time around. Here is about where I will be starting from (I have done a bit more since this picture).

BTW, Cooper the Cat wants to say hi and help this month:)

Warm Water Wash
Posted by tropo on October 18, 2007
Since I am almost finished with the Michael Powell Mini Christmas Window that I started the last Stitch-A-Thon, I am going to start another project. This one is Warm Water Wash from Raise the Roof. It has lots of lovely variegated threads from GAST. I am not letting summer go.
