Marquoir Update

Hi Everyone

This is what I have been working on again.  I have done a bit more since taking this pic, hoping to have it finished by the end of next week.

I have filled if parts 17 and 18 since taking this pic, and hoping to get the next few sections done before Sunday as we have family coming over.

YES! I did complete my modest goal for this month
by finishing this motif from “Rouge comme…”.
It may not look like much stitching, but there is a lot

Lady P.’s SAT success

The goal is met!

The colours remind me of Mexico, for some odd reason.

And… I managed to add some stitches to Loy Krathong after several months!
This is how it looked when I started, this is how it looks now:

Seaside sampler finished

I managed to finish the seaside sampler. I think I have to fix the herringbone stitches though.

Help needed

This is what I stitched today. I didn’t quite understand how to do the wrapped herringbone stitches. I managed to do the herringbone stitches but how to do the wrapping? Do you have to actually wrap the thread around in those places where the herringbonestitches crosses or is it enough that you put the thread back and front of those stitches, not going around them? Does anyone understand what I mean? I tried to take a close up photo of what I did.

I don’t have a lot to finish in this motif, but I also don’t have a lot of time to stitch this weekend. So if I finish this motif and maybe even start on the next (a heart), I’ll have had a good stitching weekend.

Virpi’s goal for May

I don’t have any special goal but I decided to start a new project. I got the Victoria Samplers’ chart and threads and I decided to start this project.. This is my progress on Friday.

This is the first time I stitch the speciality stitches and I’m not at all sure if I’m doing those right. This is also first time for me to use silkthreads and I really love the softness of those threads! I hope I don’t get to keen on silk cause my hobby is expensive enough for my incomes without those hand-dyed silkthreads!

Lady P.’s May SAT goals

Firstly I can finally show the project I was working on last month: just click here.

My goal for this month is to finish the monochromatic version of the first part of the Spanish Sampler MSAL so I can be a good MSAL organiser and start the second part.
This is what I have now:

(I am stitching this on 30 count black linen with Vikki Clayton’s Grasses silk.)

If I get this done before the weekend is over I will put some stitches to Loy Krathong.
