Chatelaine’s Hawaiian Mandala

Yes, I did finish Part Two of Chatelaine’s Hawaiian Mandala this weekend (with a few of the longstitches finished this morning). Instead of showing you the entire piece, this is a closeup of the final (top) pineapple motif for Part Two. Part Two also has black stitching that continues all the way around Part Three, but instead of stitching 80+ stitches into forever, I will save these until I work on Part Three.

Sorry I didn’t stop by on Friday to say that I would be participating. I did though and here is my progress on Stoney Creek’s “Too Cute to Spook,” a SAL that I am doing with my friend Dawn.

Updates for SAL

Here is the first update-I finished most of the stitching and backstitching on Shimmering Mermaid.  I started the beading at the top-it is so much fun!

Not so much stitching

I actually spent most of my stitching time working on my webpage, so mystitching suffered a little.  It’s nice to have made some progress on the dragon though:

Hello all

Seems like we have missed the monthly reminder the last few months-and if I don’t get a reminder, I am not likely to remember!  I am stitching on Mirabilia’s Shimmering Mermaid along with you-will post a picture at the end of the SAL.

Is it me?

Or did this weekend seem to come around quicker than usual?  And did I miss the e-mail reminder or didn’t we get one?  My life is rather topsy turvy at the moment so I really don’t know what’s what half the time!

Anyway, I think to start with I’ll be stitching on EMS Advent Calendar number 10.  If I get that done I might work a little more on my lighthouses picture.  Here’s where I’m at right now with it:

I love this picture so much, this is the second time I’ve stitched it.  I’m working it on 16ct antique white aida in two strand.

Goal for May

I am in the middle of a large twelve part Chatelaine design called Hawaiian Mandala. I actually have two of the four pineapples in Part Two finished, but would like to finish the last two pineapples, and start the volcanoes of Part Three.

May Goals

Well, I’m finally getting back to my dragon.  I have had several interruptions, the main one being company and it’s hard to keep this large of a project out and accessible.  I’m way behind on my yearly goal so I hope to do a little catching up, but I kind of think that getting a whole page done this weekend would be just a little over-ambitious!    So my goal is just as much as possible.
