    SAT Success!

Posted by Renée Goodvin on August 19, 2008

I met both my goals for this month.  Although I worked on “Pumpkin on Gingham” Friday and Saturday I will be honest and confess that I didn’t finish it until last night.  😉 I plan on finishing it into a fob tonight.

Pumpkin on Gingham; Progress as of 18.08.08 - Click for a larger image!

On Sunday I worked on “Summer’s Magic” by Dragon Dreams. Here is the before and after:

    Love Birds Happy Dance

Posted by kathysdesigns on August 18, 2008

    Hi Everyone

I finished this about 10 minutes ago, at last another one done and dusted.  This one will be made into a Cushion for my Aunt for Christmas.

It was great fun stitching this one and I am happy that I now only have 9 things to finish, at the start of the year I had 26 WIPs and now I am down to 9 woohooo lol.  Next project will be my Aunts Birthday present.

    Thanks for looking.

Here is my St Petersburg after the SAL.  I managed to finsh all the cross stitching in section 5, now on to the backstitching.  It shouldn’t take me very long.

Thanks for looking and see you again next month!

    Hormones

Posted by mcsewing on August 18, 2008

*Sigh* Usually this time of month gives me a lot of stitching time, but my hormone really elevated on Saturday and nothing more got done on my Dragon.  Here she is now:
Hopefully, I’ll be finishing page one next month, but I’m letting my step-mom’s birthday present lag due to the stitching olympics, so I may be playing catch up on that instead….

    This weekend’s achievements

Posted by Stargazer on August 18, 2008

Not as much as I had hoped and here’s the reason:

This is the recently acquired stray kitten, Rzeznik, asleep on my chart.  I didn’t have the heart to disturb her.  Still, I did manage to get a bit done and this is where I’m at with the photo now:

I’ll probably carry on with this until it’s finished, I’m almost halfway with it now so there’s a good chance I’ll still be working on it next month!

I also made a start on a small ornament for an exchange, I got about 75 stitches done on that while I was waiting for the kitty to wake up and my son to go to sleep! 😀

My first SAL and an intro

Posted by Susan on August 16, 2008

Hi everyone-this is my first month on the SAL blog.  Just wanted to introduce myself-My name is Susan, married for 20 years and mom of 2 teenagers.  I have been stitching for well over 20 years, but have only recently (in the past 3 or 4 years) become obsessed!  I live in a small town in Northern California where I work full time, so that doesn’t leave alot of stitching time!

I am currently stitching on Chatelaine’s White Nights of St Petersburg.  I am participating in the Stitching Olympics at the Chatelaine board.  I am really hopeful I can finish part 5 before the end of the games.  I will be posting a pic after the weekend.  Thanks for letting me join!

Here comes the first picture and this is what I have done on Saturday. I need to do this Minnie ornament twice. Those candycanes around the Minnie aren’t fun to stitch =(

Can I say right here that I HATE WordPress.  I have now spent an hour trying to add another picture to this post, but it INSISTS on either uploading the file (no matter how many times I try to LINK to it) or just duplicates the first picture (if I try to duplicate the HTML and point it to another Flickr picture).  Whatever.  If I could have shown you this, you would see that I am close to being finished with Hawaiian Mandala, Part One.  I would like to finish it in the next two days and maybe move on to Part Two.

    New Start for the SAT

Posted by Renée Goodvin on August 15, 2008

After a couple months hiatus, I’ll be participating this weekend!  Friday and Saturday will be spent on one of the designs from the JCS Halloween issue  (Most likely “Pumpkin on Gingham” by The Sweetheart Tree)  and Sunday I will stitch on “Summer’s Magic,” my most recent SAL with Dawn.

    Goal for August

Posted by Rachael on August 15, 2008

Sorry I am late posting this,

I think my goal would be any stitching this weekend,

I have done bottom of the border so far today. I am not sure how much I will get to do this weekend, but I will try my best. But not necessarily on this piece.

    This weekend…

Posted by Stargazer on August 15, 2008

… I’m going to be continuing with my photo stitch from last month.  I have made a bit more progress and this is where I’m at right now:

I’m hoping to make a lot of progress on this, it’s very slow-going because it’s so tiny but I’m starting to see it clearly now.

Good luck to everyone on meeting their goals this month.

    So Much FUN!

Posted by mcsewing on August 14, 2008

I joined the Stitching Olympics over at http://thewagon.yuku.com/ so I’ve finished my sky.  This weekend I hope to get at least 25 squares done.  Hopefully I’ll be finishing the little bit of background that I have left and it will be all dragon this weekend.  Here’s a before picture since I’ve gotten so much done since last month.  Can’t wait to see all the projects!
