    Another poor weekend’s progress :(

Posted by Stargazer on October 20, 2009

I didn’t get anywhere near as much done as I’d hoped this weekend.  I had a ton of laundry to catch up on, I was out Friday night unexpectedly (but it was a very pleasant evening) and I just didn’t seem to have the time to get really stuck in.  Anyway, here’s where I started:

    18th October 2009

    And here’s where I finished:

    20th October 2009

As you can see, not a terrible lot of progress. Still, I should think of it as less to stitch next month. 🙂

I got a good bit done on my stocking and I did stitch on my dragon, promise 🙂  (2 strands worth…)

    Better late than never!

Posted by Stargazer on August 26, 2009

    Hi folks,

Sorry it’s taken me a while to get around to posting my progress.  I just don’t know where the time goes sometimes.  Hard to believe it’s Wednesday (two minutes to Thursday as I write this!) already!

Anyway, I made some good progress over the weekend.  I got done a whole lot more than I was expecting to, considering I kept getting interrupted.  So this is where I’m at now:

    24th August 2009

I’m pleased with it so far, it’s definitely nice and bright!  But I’m putting it away until next SAT weekend now as I have some obs stitching to do in the meantime.

Thanks Crystal for reminding me to come along and join in.  I’ve marked all SAT weekends on my calendar until the end of the year, at least, so I’ll be here next month to see who else joins in!

    Thanks for coming!

Posted by mcsewing on August 25, 2009

I really appreciate ya’ll showing up! 🙂  Mr. Mojo kept getting up and leaving this weekend even though I had a brand new project (in silks) to work on. 😦 However, knowing y’all were here kept me coming back to it instead of laying in bed and sulking like I felt like. 🙂  My big dragon didn’t get touched and my stocking didn’t get enough to speak of, but my new dragon made some pretty good progress.  The use of variegated silks makes this a very fast and fun stitch:

    I made good progress!

Posted by mcsewing on July 21, 2009

…even if I am only talking to myself *sigh*  Oh well, I check y’alls blogs and will keep an eye on this blog in case anyone ever feels like coming back.

I think I may have gotten close to 4000 stitches in this weekend.  The picture includes Mondays work as I wasn’t able to get to a computer.  I also hit two milestones.

    1. I stitched the bottom corner — it will be a looooong time before I get to another one 🙂

    2.  I put in the last of the colors that are in this design.  (I cheated a little to get there, but I was really anxious to see how they looked.)

Part Two also has black stitching that continues all the way around Part Three, but instead of stitching 80+ stitches into forever, I will save these until I work on Part Three.

    Not so much stitching

Posted by mcsewing on May 18, 2009

I actually spent most of my stitching time working on my webpage, so mystitching suffered a little.  It’s nice to have made some progress on the dragon though:

I also did the last few stitches of my space penguins early on Friday morning.  The picture can be found on my blog

    2 HDs and an almost-start!

Posted by Stargazer on April 20, 2009

Well, I didn’t get quite as much done this weekend as I wanted to, since my son decided it would be a good time to want to swap his computer desk with mine – not such a major task for most people, but for us it was a bit of a marathon. I hadn’t realised just how much stuff (mostly stash actually) I’d got on my desk! It took about 8 hours of Saturday/Sunday to complete so my valuable stitching time was seriously depleted.

Nevertheless, I did manage to finish both numbers 7 and 8 of the EMS Advent Calendar which I am very pleased about as now I am all caught up with that ready for next month’s two numbers.
    20th April 2009

All I managed to get done on the lighthouses project was half the whipping on the edge of the fabric so there’s nothing to show you on that one. Maybe next month there’ll be some progress on it then again I might have found another project to tackle by then! Did I ever mention I’m a serial starter! 😀

    February Results

Posted by Renée Goodvin on February 22, 2009

Four Seasons Cats - Fall, Progress as of 22.02.09 - Click for a larger image! Even though I was only home for part of this month’s Stitch-A-Thon weekend, I did manage to get a fair amount of stitching done and accomplished both my goals.

On Friday night I worked on “Four Seasons Cats – Fall.” The square is now about 40% complete.

Today (Sunday) I beaded some more on Flo. I have now finished the beading of her wings and have moved on to her scepter. I actually think that I am probably a little over half finished with the beading now. I decided not to take a progress pic of the beading tonight though because I am going to try and get one tomorrow when it is still daylight and see if I can’t get a better shot of all the bling!

Hope everyone else had a successful SAT. See you next month! 🙂

Well, I thought I had made a realistic goal this weekend and had high hopes of exceeding it, but I guess there was more meandering grass than I realized. Here’s my progress:

    Productive weekend!

Posted by Stargazer on January 19, 2009

We have been very busy little bees this weekend.  I’m so pleased to have two happy dances – I started and finished both projects I aimed to do.

The coffee picture will hopefully end up as a wallhanging or picture and the toucan is for a card.
    SAT January 2009SAT January 2009-2

Ryan has been busy too, he designed and stitched these:
    SAT Jan 2009 - Ryan's

He didn’t quite manage to finish the second one but then again, knowing the attention span of the average 13 year old boy, I think he did pretty well.  These will be made up into thank you cards for a couple of our friends who’ve been really kind to us recently.

Thanks for having us along this month.  Can’t wait until next month now – what to stitch?
